Last week the daughter (8) asked if she couldn't put something together in the form of an after school party to say farewell to her pal that is changing schools.

Saying a proper good bye is so important.....
This one has discovered how much fun it is to deconstruct everything with screws... if there are wires and lights it is an especially perfect item. He and the girl are fast at work designing mutant toys and robots!

What fun.... Fondue recipes are plenty and there are some great sites out there: Here and Here for starters.
We enjoyed a chocolate fondue, a vegan mushroom fondue as well as a cheese fondue recipe we found in Sunset Magazine.
And if you don't have a fondue set...you should. You are in luck because Ebay offers some delightful sets a la 70's....
Because it is Sunday...... and cakes needn't always be reserved for special occasions, right?

We had the pleasure of harvesting many greens as well as radishes from the school garden. Pulling radishes from the ground is so utterly delightful...like unwrapping a gift that tastes divine.
I woke up Sunday morning and the daughter had written her to-do list on the kitchen chalkboard...
